Construction Documents

Complete, permit-ready drawing sets that contractors can actually build from. Our construction documents include floor plans, sections, elevations, and details — everything your builder and your municipality need. Having worked on the construction side, we know what information builders need and how to communicate it clearly. We prepare documents for residential projects throughout Michigan.

Construction Observation

Most architects hand off drawings and move on. We don't. With a background that started in framing and finish carpentry, we make periodic site visits during key phases of construction — checking in on progress, answering field questions, and making sure what gets built matches what was designed. It's not full-time oversight, but it's the kind of experienced eye that catches problems early.

3D Visualization & Renderings

See your project before a single nail is driven. We create photorealistic 3D renderings and visualizations that let you experience your home design in context — materials, lighting, landscaping, and all. This is especially valuable for custom homes and major renovations where you need to understand spatial relationships before committing.

Feasibility & Pre-Design Consultation

Not sure what's possible on your lot or within your budget? A feasibility study is a low-commitment starting point that can save you significant time and money. We'll review your property, local zoning, and project goals to give you a realistic picture of what's achievable — before you invest in full design services.

OUR PROCESS

Discovery —01

Every project starts with a conversation. We meet with you, visit the site, and dig into what you're looking for — how you live, what matters to you, and what the site and budget allow. This is where we align on vision before a single line is drawn.

Design —02

We begin with hand sketches and concept studies, then move into design development — floor plans, elevations, 3D views. This is collaborative. We present options, you give feedback, we refine. The design evolves until it feels right.

Documentation —03

Once the design is locked, we produce a complete set of construction documents — everything your builder needs to price and build the project. We also handle permit submissions, engineering coordination, and any municipal approvals required.

Build Support —04

This is where our construction background pays off. We stay involved during the build — reviewing shop drawings, answering field questions, and making site visits to ensure the finished product matches the design intent. We don't disappear after permitting.
